About me:
Marin County California offers up a booming goldmine of outdoor exploring. It’s been my fortune to grow up surrounded by our local crown jewels of Pt. Reyes Ridge, Mount Tamalpais, the Marin Headlands, and China Camp State Park. As a competitive runner, the extensive trail systems of these locations have provided me with the foundation to become a strong athlete of mind and body. It’s my desire to share the many years of my experience and trail knowledge with you!
No matter your running skill level, I’ll make sure we take the time to enjoy the views, soak in the moment, build your strength and understanding of running, while also taking in a little history of the surrounding region. At the end of the trail, we might even enjoy a tasty pint or two.
The following are the details of my service:
Depending on your schedule, there are a multitude of running excursions to embark on. Each location can be tailor-made to accommodate your fitness level and time restriction. As a guide and coach, I offer you any level of technical training and support, in order for you to take away the best all-around experience you could wish for.
Minimum time requirement is 1 hour. Maximum is up to, but not limited to 4 hours.
With a variance of starting points, the choices are almost limitless. Suggested routes are listed, but not limited to the following:
Marin Headlands: starting at either Cavallo Point, Rodeo Beach/Youth Hostel, or Tennessee Valley.
Mount Tamalpais: The famous Mt. Tam Hill Climb, 3 miles up with 2,500ft of elevation gain (starting from downtown Mill Valley to East Peak).
The Dipsea: America’s oldest foot race second to Boston (starting from downtown Mill Valley, Muir Woods, or Stinson Beach)
Mt. Tam. south side excursions (starting from downtown Mill Valley, or the Mountain Home Inn.)
Mt. Tam. north side, and lake system excursions (starting from Ross Commons)
Bolinas Ridge/Pantoll Station/Stinson Beach (starting at either location)
China Camp/San Pedro Open space (starting points tbd)
For those wishing to add a little extra reward to the effort, our route can finish at one of the many “trail’s end” pubs located in Mill Valley, on the slopes of Mt Tam., Muir Beach, or Stinson Beach. After an adventure of exploring, it can be the perfect cap to your experience in Marin.
