This hike will show you some of the best of the Marin Headlands. There are incredible views the entire hike. We’ll start our hike near Rodeo Beach and climb up into the hills to make a quick visit to the Marine Mammal Center, which rescues and rehabilitates ill or injured seals and sea lions. We’ll then walk along the coastal trail to take in the broad views of the mountains, cliffs and ocean. Then we’ll cross the beach to head up the other side onto the ocean cliffs. We’ll end up at Point Bonita, at the entrance to the Golden Gate with sweeping views of the bridge and the city. If the lighthouse is open, we’ll make a quick visit. Note: This hike is subject to frequent weather changes. Fog is common, especially in summer, but can clear quickly. Hike will proceed regardless of fog conditions.
