If you want to get a different perspective on the bay, and get some terrific views along the way, this hike is for you. No redwoods on this one, instead we start in the Presidio in San Francisco and walk across the Golden Gate Bridge, learning about the history of this famous landmark, the bay and San Francisco. As we’re crossing the bridge, if we’re lucky, we’ll spot feeding sea lions and porpoises. When we get to Marin, we’ll climb up into the headlands. If it’s clear, we’ll climb up Slacker Hill and have spectacular views of the bridge and the bay. We’ll follow a ridge along Rodeo Valley until we drop down a trail into beautiful Sausalito. You’ll be able to explore Sausalito at your leisure and then take a ferry back to either Fisherman’s Wharf or the Ferry Building (ferry ride not included in tour).
