About me:
I have been going camping since before I was born. Even in the womb, I was already experiencing Yosemite and the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains. My parents brought me up with a strong relationship with the outdoors. The greatest views, the unmistakable smells, and the unique experiences that the great outdoors offers has helped my passion for being out in nature grow since day one. Spending all this time in nature has made me realize that there’s one mode of transportation that can help you experience it all and see more! Mountain biking is my passion. I have been mountain biking for over a decade now, and I love it even more than I did the first day I took my sister’s 26” Diamond Back fully rigid mountain bike off stairs at the library down the street. Now if we go mountain biking together, I promise that I won’t be taking you to the library to go off stairs, and I certainly won’t be on the ole’ Diamond Back. I will promise an opportunity to learn what you want to learn, and have a blast while doing so. With experience as an Expert Level mountain bike racer, I have the knowledge and skills to improve your riding abilities. I work as a professional mechanic at a bicycle concept store, I am more than happy to help you learn more about your trustee steed. Lastly, I am a bicycle safety instructor at SafeMoves, a non-profit organization that works to improve bicycle safety and awareness. Helping individuals and classes learn the rules of the road so they can be responsible, safe riders when their tires hit the pavement.
The following are the details of my service:
Living in the heart of the Bay Area, I am fully aware of the influx of new residents who may or may not have the same interests as I do but don’t have the means or connections to get out there and participate in a mountain bike adventure. I know that a strong community is one that can communicate openly about making improvements amongst themselves. I want to show you what the Bay Area is all about. I am a life long Bay Area resident who can show you just about anything you want to see. From Fairfax to San Francisco, Oakland to Palo Alto and just about all of the Santa Cruz Mountains the possibilities to ride where you want are here, all you have to do is ask. I am more than happy to assemble, package, and tune up your bike if need be. Making sure that your bike is in proper riding condition is crucial to a fun ride, let me help! If you’re especially new to town, lets ride around in the neighborhoods to get familiar with how traffic flows, and what you need to know to survive as a cyclists sharing the road with aggressive drivers.
If you are visiting or just want to make a short clip of an adventure we go on, I am happy to bring along my GoPro cameras to document our ride. I am happy to put together a video of our ride edited with FinalCut Pro so you can show off to all of your friends how much fun we had out on the trails. If you are flying into the Bay Area and shipping your bike in a box, I can assemble the bike for a small fee.
